I have been tattooing for 25 years, and I have always loved creating custom tattoos—original designs tailored to each of my clients. The quality of my work relies on the quality of our communication. It’s important to prioritize this exchange, to create a connection, in order to develop the tattoo that best suits you.
I started tattooing in a street shop where people would come in asking for tattoos without paying attention to the tattooist’s style. On one hand, I was too young to have an established style, and on the other, it wasn’t the norm at the time. Over the years, my style has become more defined, and I have adopted a more traditional approach to prioritize the expression of emotions that I seek to convey in my work.
For over 10 years, I have been fascinated by Japanese culture and American Old School. My style is a blend of these two worlds, with rules and codes designed to age well on the skin.
My style has been shaped by observing tattoos evolve and skin age. Little by little, my style has become more streamlined and readable, so it continues to look good even in 10, 15 years, etc. For me, this has forged an approach that defines my style.
Today, I am increasingly focused on freehand work—drawing directly on the skin as much as possible. I love this approach, which I find more direct and authentic. It also allows me to convey the emotion and movement that best fit your tattoo project.
